About Us

Parkinson Alberta Society is dedicated to helping people and families of Alberta who live with Parkinson disease and related disorders.

Our core services include supportive counselling, support groups for people with Parkinson disease and their caregivers, learning resources, referrals, peer program, in-service community awareness programs and speech therapy.

Our Mission

The Parkinson Alberta Society is the voice of Albertans and their families living with Parkinson disease. Our purpose is to ease the burden and find a cure through research, education, advocacy and support services.

Parkinson Alberta Society with five offices located in Calgary, Edmonton,  Red Deer, Medicine Hat, and Lethbridge is here to help people living with Parkinson's and the people who care about them through Support Services and education.

This website which is designed to provide as much information as possible on dealing with Parkinson disease in the About Parkinson's section and on Parkinson disease research. These sections only represents a fraction of the information that we have available for you. Please contact us for further resources.

As Parkinson Alberta Society receives no government support, it relies solely on the generosity of its members, individual donors and the corporate community. The following are some of the many ways you can support the Society and the Parkinson's community:
