Client Services Coordinator – 21 Hours Per Week
Parkinson Alberta Society (PAS) is a registered charity whose mission is to provide education, programs and services, information and advocacy, and to support research for people who are affected by Parkinson disease (PD).
We are seeking an individual to fill a part-time position as Client Services Coordinator in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas who have experience in providing direct services to clients, raising awareness and building relationships with stakeholders. Experience and skills in group facilitation, one-to-one and family support counselling is essential. Public speaking experience, computer proficiency, and proven competencies in working with an adult population are all necessary.
The position provides the opportunity to join a dynamic team environment in which all efforts lead to improving the quality of life for those who live with PD or related disorders.
Qualifications:
• A degree or diploma in Social Sciences or a combination of work and education
• Excellent group facilitation skills
• Communication and organizational skills
• Related experience in the voluntary sector is desirable
• Must have a vehicle as travel will be required
Duties will include:
• Group facilitation
• Support to individuals and families
• Provision of information and education to related professionals
• Managing a regional office
• Volunteer management and interagency collaboration
• Community presentations and building relations with health services agencies
• Reporting outcomes
• Organizing National SuperWalk for Parkinson’s event in the Grande Prairie region
