Mild-Moderate Support Group
- Is your loved one’s PD progressing into a more advanced stage?
- Does your loved one need more assistance than before?
- Do you need advice about Aids to Daily Living?
- Are you worried about your partner’s loss of independence?
The people that attend the Mild-Moderate Caregiver Support Group have moderate care-receivers at home. They
discuss the possibility of bringing in aids to daily living and what’s next in their partner’s disease
progression. They often need to deal with transportation issues and taking on a more integrated care-giver
role. Partners lose some aspects of their independence and care-givers need to fill in: emotionally and
physically.

- Do you feel like you need to be a care-giver almost 24 hours a day?
- Are you overwhelmed and need assistance with care-giving?
- Is your partner developing more serious symptoms of PD?
- Are you worried about what happens next with your partner?
The people that attend the Moderate Plus Caregiver Support Group often ponder where they can get help
(ex. respite). They feel overwhelmed and are tired of constantly worrying about their partner at times,
and look to each other for advice on specific, more integrated issues and problems. They provide each
other with tips on how to effectively cope with the Moderate Plus PD patient, and listen to one another
when they are feeling stressed or down.
