Comparing Differences between Caregivers and Parkinson's Disease Patients: Illness Beliefs, Coping Strategies and their Implications for Well-being".
Parkinson's Victoria, Swinburne University Alumni Association and Swinbourne Psychology are conducting a study exploring
the experiences of both people living with Parkinson's and the caregivers of people living with Parkinson's. The study will
investigate issues such as symptoms, illness representations, coping strategies and health outcomes.

The Parkinson’s Society of Southern Alberta has a dedicated commitment to Parkinson’s research. PSSA raises
funds in support of Parkinson’s Society Canada’s
National Research Program.
Research is taking place worldwide and many scientists are working to find the cause and cure for this
debilitating disorder. Each year, PSSA distributes funds to:
- Parkinson Society Canada
- Hotchkiss Brain Institute
- Movement Disorders Clinic at the University of Calgary Department of Medicine, and the University of
Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta.
These funds assist research into finding the cause, treatment and cure for
Parkinson’s disease.
Donors who designate their gifts for research can be
assured that the funds will be used for research.
Donors can designate funds to research or to providing assistance
and programs for those who are living with Parkinson’s today.
